What sensuality is...
and what it's not
Do you know when you meet someone who is a bright light, who you can feel the life force pulsing through? You feel their vitality, their spark, their aliveness!?
I’m going to bet money that they are a deeply sensual person.
What does that mean?
Most people think that sensuality and sexuality mean the same thing.
They don’t. They are not synonymous!
Sure, sensuality plays into sexuality, especially if it’s healthy and vibrant. Yet sadly, you can also have unconscious sexuality that is devoid of any sensuality.
Sensuality is the ability to receive joy, fulfillment, and pleasure from the senses.
You can live a lit up, turned on, sensual life that keeps you feeling alive all the time by connecting with your innate sensuality.
When we are in tune with this aspect of ourself, life feels brighter!
The feeling of damp mud underfoot is soft soothing ease.
The smell of the damp forest is heaven on earth.
A breeze on hot skin feels like God.
I’ve experienced each of these things myself and continue to on a daily basis because I cultivate my presence and ability to receive pleasure from the tiny things in life.
Feeling soft sheets rubbing on my skin when I slide into bed is bliss.
I feel physical pleasure and a sense of happiness when my eyes take in the colors of a sunset or an array of flowers.
What a gift! A gift that can never be taken from me or from you.
This ability to savor pleasure from your senses opens the door to more wonder, awe, and gratitude. It cultivates happiness and deep fulfillment in everyday moments.
The best part?
You don’t need anything outside of you to feel this magic on a daily basis.
It’s all within you. Waiting to be awakened or unlocked.
